This policy covers Beeminder Custom Integrations, a personal tool run by Giovanni d'Amelio at beeminder-custom-integrations.gio.ninja. The tool is used only with my own Google, Beeminder, Fastmail and Todoist accounts, and isn't available to other users.
Through the Google Health API, with the read-only googlehealth.activity_and_fitness.readonly permission, the tool reads my daily step totals. It doesn't read any other health data, and it never writes to Google Health.
Through Gmail IMAP, the tool reads only the number of unread and total messages in my inbox. It doesn't read message contents, senders or subjects.
Each day's step total is posted as a datapoint to one of my Beeminder goals, so that Beeminder can track whether I met my step target. The unread email count is posted to a separate Beeminder goal. The data isn't used for anything else.
Daily step totals and email counts are sent to Beeminder, to my own Beeminder account. The tool runs on Cloudflare, which processes the data while the tool runs. The data isn't sold or shared with anyone else, and isn't used for advertising, credit or lending decisions, or to train AI or machine learning models.
Beeminder Custom Integrations' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The tool stores the step totals for the last few days in a Cloudflare D1 database, so it only posts to Beeminder when a total changes. Its Google credentials are stored as encrypted Cloudflare secrets. All connections to Google, Beeminder and Cloudflare use HTTPS.
Step totals in the database are replaced as new days are synced. Cloudflare deletes the tool's logs automatically after its log retention period. Datapoints posted to Beeminder stay in my Beeminder account until I delete them there.
Access to Google data can be revoked at any time from the third-party connections page of the Google Account. After that, the tool can't read any more Google data.
If the way the tool uses Google user data changes, this page will be updated and the date above changed. Questions about this policy can be sent to gio@damelio.net.
